Is Online Search Making Us Dumber?

I'm always bothered by people who nag about how technology is transforming us for the worse. People say that but when asked, none of them is willing to live in the conditions of a hundred years ago. I came across this little essay by Steven Pinker a couple of days ago. I wholeheartedly agree with everything he says here.
